Clay!

1) Pinch Pot: A simple form of pottery produced by hand since ancient times. The pinching method is to create pottery that can be ornamental or functional, and has been widely used across cultures and times

2) Slab: A thick, flat piece of clay that can be cut into shapes to be joined together to form an object.

3) Coil: Thin 'wire' of clay that can be coiled into circular objects for pottery and other pieces.

4) Score and Slip: scratching marks into clay in order to attach another piece of clay to it.

5) Kiln: A furnace or oven used for baking or drying pieces, especially used in pottery

6) Glaze: a vitreous substance fused on to the surface of pottery to form a hard, impervious decorative coating

7) Leather hard: dried and hardened enough to be trimmed or decorated with slip but not hard enough to be fired.

8) Bone Dry: completely dry

9) Bisqueware: George Ohr produced bisque (unglazed) pottery throughout his career. … For his bisqueware, Ohr mixed clays of different natural colors into a subtle swirl or marbleized pattern.

10) Glazeware: A mixture of ground minerals and fluxes, that is applied to fired clay. It results in a glassy coating and forms a water-tight surface.
